When you link a Binance account to your Exchange Wallet, you will need to provide an API key and a secret key. Besides, you also need to include Cobo in the IP whitelist and assign specific permissions to the key.

This article explains how to generate an API key on Binance, including adding Cobo to the IP whitelist and setting permissions.

The content is subject to changes on Binance. For more details, refer to How to Create API Keys on Binance.
  1. Log in to your Binance account.
  2. Navigate to Account > API management.
  3. Click Create API.
  4. On the Choose API key type dialog, select System generated, and click Next to generate an API key.
  5. When the key is successfully generated, you will see an API key and a secret key.
Carefully store the secret key, as it will be displayed in plain text only once.
  6. In the API restrictions section, select the following options:
    • Enable Reading
    • Enable Withdrawals
    • Enable Internal Transfer
    • Permits Universal Transfer
  7. Under the IP access restrictions section, select Restrict access to trusted IPs only, and enter Cobo’s IP address 18.177.234.7 and 18.180.16.190.
  8. Click Save to submit the settings.

You have now generated and set up an API Key. You can go to Cobo Portal to link your Binance account with the API key and secret key. To learn how to link your account, see Set up Exchange Wallets.
