Set up Web3 Wallets
Follow the steps to set up Web3 Wallets on Cobo Portal, including prerequisites and activation process.
Web3 Wallets are a type of Custodial Wallets that allow token transfers, contract calls, and message signing. You can create multiple wallets to suit your business needs.
Prerequisites
- Set up your account and complete other required steps following the Quick start guide.
- You have been assigned the Operator role or a customized role with equivelant permissions.
- Contact Cobo’s customer support at help@cobo.com to enable Web3 Wallets. If you do not request activation, the Web3 Wallets tab will not appear on the Custodial Wallets page. Once enabled, a wallet named Default Web3 Wallet will be automatically created, and a wallet address will be generated for each activated chain.
Steps
To set up a Web3 Wallet on Cobo Portal, follow these simple steps:
- Log into Cobo Portal.
- Click
and select Custodial Wallets.
- Click Create Wallet.
- Fill in your preferred Wallet Name (up to 30 characters), select Web3 Wallet as Wallet Type, then click Create.
- The new wallet will appear on your dashboard once created.
Next steps
After setting up a Web3 Wallet, you can:
- Wallet
- View the transaction history of the wallet.
- Launch Cobo Connect.
- View the details of the wallet.
- Address
- Create an address.
- Initiate a deposit into or withdrawal from the address.
- Launch Cobo Connect.
- View the transaction history of the address.
- View the details of the address.
- Modify the address label.
- Token
- Add token types to your wallet. If you can’t find the token you’re looking for, you can request token self-listing.
- Initiate a deposit into or withdrawal from the wallet.
- Initiate a withdrawal from the wallet.
- View the details of the token.
- Search, filter, and sort the tokens in the wallet.
