# Transfer Within an Exchange Wallet

> Understand how to transfer assets within your Exchange Wallets, including between Main and Sub Accounts.

This article explains how to transfer assets within an Exchange Wallet (Main Account). The cases covered include:

* Transferring from a Main Account to its Sub Account
* Transferring from a Sub Account to its associated Main Account
* Transferring between Sub Accounts under the same Main Account
* Transferring assets between trading accounts within the same Main or Sub Account

## Steps

1. Log in to [Cobo Portal](https://portal.cobo.com/login).

2. Click **Wallets** in the left sidebar, then select **Exchange Wallets**.

3. Click an Exchange Wallet that you want to transfer in or out assets.

4. In the wallet details page, click the Transfer In icon <img src="https://mintcdn.com/cobo-6/km7KKMXZ7911CcFJ/en/images/exchange-wallet/12.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=km7KKMXZ7911CcFJ&q=85&s=d1b205107d747b450a63431372cc509d" className="icon" alt="The transfer in icon" width="34" height="34" data-path="en/images/exchange-wallet/12.png" /> in the **Actions** column to transfer assets to this Exchange Wallet, or click the Transfer Out icon <img src="https://mintcdn.com/cobo-6/km7KKMXZ7911CcFJ/en/images/exchange-wallet/13.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=km7KKMXZ7911CcFJ&q=85&s=bb910e365c7b54ce713bf0feb3572dbf" className="icon" alt="The transfer out icon" width="34" height="34" data-path="en/images/exchange-wallet/13.png" /> to transfer assets from this Exchange Wallet to another out.

5. In the **Transfer** dialog, select the Exchange Wallets as needed in the **Form** and **To** sections.

   <Note>The specific transfer behaviors of trading account types are subject to the exchange's rules. If you can select the wallet on the UI, then you are able to transfer assets to that trading account.</Note>

6. Enter the transfer amount.

7. (Optional) Add a category or description to your transaction. For more details, refer to [Add category and description](about:blank).

8. Click **Submit**.

9. Approve the request on your Portal Mobile.
