> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://manuals.cobo.com/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # Transfers (deposit / withdraw) > Understand how to deposit and withdraw tokens using Web3 Wallets, including best practices for transfers. ## Prerequisites * Before making transfers using your Web3 Wallets, it’s recommended that you set up a [token transfer policy](/en/portal/risk-controls/off-chain-tx-set-transfer). * For more information on the number of confirmations required for deposits, see [Required confirmation for token deposits](/en/portal/supported-tokens-and-chains#required-confirmation-for-token-deposits). ## Deposit from external wallets 1. Log in to [Cobo Portal](https://portal.cobo.com/login). 2. Click **Wallets** in the left sidebar, then select **Custodial Wallets**. Select the **Web3 Wallets** tab, then select a wallet. 3. Select the **Addresses** or **Tokens** tab, navigate to the address or token for your deposit, and then click . 4. Copy the deposit address. Please ensure that the deposit address is accurate to prevent any transfer errors. 5. Proceed to your preferred external wallet to initiate the transfer to the deposit address you have copied. ## Deposit from another wallet created on Cobo Portal 1. To open the **Transfer** dialog, you can choose one of the following ways: * Option 1: Complete step 1 to step 3 in the previous section, and click **Deposit From Other Wallets**. In the dialog, the token or address will be preselected for you. * Option 2: Click **Transfer** in the left sidebar. Fill in the fields manually. 2.
